Do you love dogs or cats? How about other animals like rabbits and parrots?
If yes, that’s great!
Since you have already known how to enjoy the moments
with animals. If no, never mind. You may discover the amazements of staying
with them after reading the stories between my three little sisters and me. Believe
me, I’m not telling joke.
My sisters are not human beings but dogs. They are named Ball Ball
(a Pomeranian with round eyes and a large belly), Gill Gill and Kelly (both are
lop-eared Puddle with curly brown and beige hair respectively). Why did I say
they are my sisters instead of my pets? The reason is simple. We are not
raising them to provide us with entertainment as pets but to share our joy and
worry as family members. At this moment, you might wonder how little pets could
be our friends, or even “counselors”. Now, let me show you!
Are there any restrictions in keeping pets? The answer is yes.
Stepping out of the lift, I could hear my three sisters barking to
welcome us when we back home. Barking is an innate behavior of dogs, especially
for Ball Ball (the eldest one among the three). In fact, my family has got used
to it because this happens every day. Apart from barking, Ball Ball loves to
stand merely with her two poor posterior feet, and then turn round and round. These
could be fine for other dogs, but not for Ball Ball, who got an injured leg when jumping down from sofa eight years ago. Her wail at that time is still
ringing in my head. After the accident, veterinarian suggested we cut down Ball
Ball’s weight to reduce the pressure acting on her feet. But we failed! We
cannot stand firm when she asks for food by saluting with a big big smile.
You may now know that having pets at home is pleasurable but
sometime restrictive. We better not to play down the patience needed for taking
care of them. It is appreciated if you are willing to sacrifice your time to adopt
the abandoned animals, as their stories will be entirely different once they
meet a responsible master. But, one thing is certain: keeping pets is not a way
to kill time but a life-long commitment. So, thinking twice before bringing
them home is always a good idea.
You're absolutely right!
ReplyDeleteKeeping pets is a commitment and we should be responsible for our pets.
Those subtle things that you described with wide variety of vocab are amazing!
Can't wait to meet your "sister"! haha
Your "sister" look really cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat you have described, such as daily life with the dogs and their characteristics, are in details.
After reading your post, I find it joyful to have a dog and I agree that it is a life-long commitment to keep pets.
its lovely how you refer to your pets as your sisters, it really shows the readers your intimacy level with them. I think its really admirable to be able to love and care for animals. Also it is really obvious how much you adore your pets with descriptions of their behaviors and journeys.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I think that BallBall is the cutest one among the three.
ReplyDeleteBut you really should listen to the veterinarian not to give her so much food.
As I can see from the picture, she is quite fat!
